I’ve been in the sunflower patch again and I couldn’t resist sharing these photos with you! Breathtaking! I hope that you enjoy the scenery as much as I did putting this album together!
Sunflowers (Helianthus annuus) are one of the most majestic of all flowers. They provide us with an excellent source of vitamin E as well as other valuable nutrients. No garden should be without! They are not only beautiful, but they also provide use with sunflower seeds and sunflower oil. Many bath & body products are made using sunflower oil such as lotions, soaps, and shampoos, and both the seeds and the oil are used in cooking. I hope that you enjoy a stroll through my sunflower patch!
This heirloom species of sunflower is called Tarahumara White and I purchased the seed at Sand Hill Preservation Center.
